There are many children in the caverns of the human psyche. These children or mind fragments are looking to be noticed and wanting expression. They are looking to be loved and looking to be attended to. These parts of the self are selves in that they are in them selves self absorbed, that is, unaware of the needs and desires of other parts, other children within the mind. Thankfully there exists the wiser aspect of the mind called discernment, which most humans utilize to varying degrees. This quality prevents each of us from committing horrific crimes. This of course does not include the minority who’s delusion is at such a high level of toxicity that they think torturous crimes are the right thing to do. Most of us have a fare sense of right and wrong, and we chose accordingly. But within the majority of us, resides these children in the mind. Often they go unnoticed, and what happens to unnoticed children? They can reek havoc. They yell, they kick, they brake things, they hurt others and they hurt themselves. So to, does this happen when the mind is not observed, when the psychic fragments are not noticed. This is not to say that the mind that is not observed is always getting into mischief. After all most children do not need attending to all the time unless they are very young. The children in the mind are also at varying degrees of maturity. If the child called anger is very young let say at the infant stage and is not being looked after, then that child in the mind can cause the body to not only yell but also hit walls and other people. The looking after, means bringing in the element of discernment so that one stops ones self from allowing a charged emotion to create harm in the world or within the self. A partial looking after will stop harmful words and actions from leaking out. A complete looking after entails the feeling and seeing of the emotional/thought pattern and not a suppressing of nor harmful expression of the pattern.
